Arena Sports bar is located across from the Riverview Park in downtown Independence. Originally constructed in 1884 as a hardware store., this building became a tavern the day after Prohibition ended.  Over 300 people lined up around the block to come in and have nickel beers that day! Locally owned and operated, Arena has been a staple in the downtown area for many decades.

At Arena, you can watch your favorite sports teams shown on 12 HDTVs . Along with great food, drinks & staff it is no surprise we’re the destination for those who like to get close to the action.  Our menu specializes in delicious burgers, over 20 buffalo wing flavors & the Chernobyl Challenge.
